As part of our ongoing efforts to involve the neighbors of VCMC in the design of the new replacement hospital wing, a meeting was held on Monday October 17, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hospital Cafeteria Meeting Room. At the meeting, the project managers reviewed the project footprint, height, and location program that was approved by the Board of Supervisors in January and its evolution since then, and discussed pending design issues that are being refined in advance of soliciting the design-build architectural proposals.

As part of our ongoing efforts to involve the neighbors of VCMC in the design of the new replacement hospital wing, we are holding a meeting to enable you to keep abreast of progress on the project and provide input into the preliminary design of the building. The meeting will be held on Monday October 17, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hospital Cafeteria Meeting Room. At the meeting, the project managers will review the project footprint, height, and location program that was approved by the Board of Supervisors in January and its evolution since then, and discuss pending design issues that are being refined in advance of soliciting the design-build architectural proposals. The meeting presentation will be posted after the meeting.

The community meeting on the VCMC Replacement Hospital Wing project scheduled for Thursday June 16, 2011 will need to be postponed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The reason for the postponement is to allow for more of the hospital space planning effort to be completed. We feel this information is an important part of the presentation for the community meeting, and we have not progressed far enough on this task to be ready for the presentation. A notice will be posted and mailed to the VCMC neighbor mailing list when the community meeting is rescheduled.
